Control of horizontal shift of soil from under the bases
To solve this problem conducted inclinometer measure are conducted that are expressed in the definition of the amplitude and direction of the horizontal displacement of the soil at different depths. Measurements are made in the control wells cased with special directional columns. Changing the value of accumulated variation in time determines the displacement of the casing for each measuring point. Offset inclinometer casing at a certain depth at a particular time with respect to the initial profile is obtained by subtracting the readings from the working zero readings. Periodic directional measurements within the framework of geotechnical monitoring allow to qualitatively and quantitatively assess the level of uplift that, in case of loss of its stability, will be recorded instrumentally (horizontal displacement amplitude and the depth from the ground level), which will allow time to develop a directed and effective protective measures.
